When the Wolverhampton Wanderers take the field for their return to England's Premier League next season, they will do so with Adidas' jerseys. The newly crowned winners of the second division Sky Bet Championship has sealed a four-year deal that will see the sportswear company become the club's official technical kit supplier. Adidas will replace Puma, who has supplied the club for five successive seasons as the team began the long climb back from the third tier. The deal will run until the 2021/22 season and Adidas will supply both home and away kits, as well as training wear. Formed in 1877, the Wanderers, commonly known as the Wolves, are one of the most historic clubs in England, but the club from England's West Midlands struggled after the 1950s, with intermittent spells in the first tier. Fosun International, a Chinese investment group, took over the Wolves for £45 million (€51.5m-$60.7m) in 2016 and has bankrolled the team's bid to return to the top-flight. That investment is starting to pay rich dividends with a place in the Premier League worth a minimum of £170 million (€194.6m-$229.3m).
