Wilson and Fila have announced new sponsorship deals with three female tennis stars in the last couple of days. Wilson has taken on Victoria “Vika” Azarenka of Belarus for a long-term deal. She was previously endorsing Head, but will now start using Wilson equipment exclusively, including the new Juice racquet, the blue Tour tennis bag and the Emotisorb shock absorber. Azarenka is ranked No. 3 in the world, just coming off a win over Jelena Jankovic of Serbia in the second round of the Apia International tournament. Jankovic, incidentally, is another women's star who has just signed an endorsement deal, hers with Fila. Another new member of Team Fila is Vera Zvonareva, the WTA player who was a Grand Slam finalist. Zvonareva has been ranked in the top 10 of the WTA for the last four years, reaching No. 2 in 2010. She also represented her home country of Russia in the 2008 Olympics. Meanwhile, Fila has extended its endorsement agreements with two other important tennis players, Kim Clijsters and Svetlana Kuznetsova.
