Wintersteiger, the global leader in ski maintenance and rental systems, has intensified its efforts to diversify into the bike sector. It will participate for the first time in the Eurobike show taking place in Friedrichshafen on Sept. 4-7, offering a wider range of bike-related products and services.
Its Easystore module for the storage of skis has been made compatible to hang up bicycles. The capabilities of its Easyrent software for skis have been expanded to handle rentals, repairs and other services for bicycles. Wintersteiger is also handling sales of a manual, automatic or semi-automatic washing system for bicycles developed by CW Cleaning Solutions. Rounding up the package, the company is proposing bike maintenance products and drying systems for cycling clothes that can also be used for work or business wear.
The package is aimed at ski retailers who have diversified or wish to diversify into summer sports. The Austrian company is also targeting bike rental companies, hotels located along bike routes, public institutions and companies that provide drying solutions for their workers.
For several years already, Wintersteiger has been offering stations that rent skis in the colder months and bicycles in the warmer months with the same software and storage systems. It has also been selling drying systems for ski depots as well as the construction and food industry, fire brigades, municipalities, fisheries and infrastructure companies, among others.
