With a special tee-shirt launched in the wake of the deadly bomb attacks at the Boston Marathon last month, the Adidas Group has raised more than $1 million to support the victims of the blasts and their families. The tee-shirt, proclaiming that “Boston stands as one,” is sold in the U.S. and some European markets to raise money for the One Boston Fund. All proceeds from sales of the limited edition tee-shirts are donated to the charity. The first batch was reportedly sold out within a day, but Adidas quickly rolled out more tee-shirts. Adidas is the sponsor of the Boston Marathon, the oldest annual marathon and one of the six major international marathons. The bombs that were planted near the finish line of the race killed three people and injured 260 more. Adidas said that none of its employees had been badly hurt.
