Women will represent 64 percent of the 12 members of the board of directors of Kering, parent company of Puma, Volcom and several luxury goods brands, after its annual meeting, scheduled for April 29. Three women have been nominated to join four other directors on the new board in connection with the non-renewal of the mandates of Jochen Zeitz, the former chief executive of Puma, and two other male directors, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo and Philippe Lagayette. The three new designated female directors are Laurence Boone, Sapna Sood and Sophie L'Hélias. Boone, who recently became chief economist at AXA, has already been a director of the group before. Kering points out that 58 percent of its employees and 51 percent of its managers are women. Four of its brands are led by women.
