X-Function Benelux has taken over the distribution of Nordica and Rollerblade in the Benelux countries from the beginning of February. X-Function already deals with the X Socks and X Bionic brands. It belongs to the larger TCK Sports group, which further includes Lowa Benelux BV (Lowa, Schöffel, Deuter, Ortlieb, Leki, Fritschi and T-Shoes) and Tornado Sport BV (Marker, Tecnica, Völkl, Uvex, Lizard and more). The change therefore fits with the Tecnica group’s international strategy to regroup the distribution of its brands. The previous distributor for Nordica and Rollerblade was Van Megen Sports Group, which will now focus entirely on racquet sports. The company is the distributor of Prince and Tretorn in the Benelux countries and Germany, and it handles K-Swiss in Germany and Austria. The transaction was arranged on friendly terms, so that Pepijn van den Hoogen, the manager who was in charge of Nordica and Rollerblade at Van Megen Sports, is switching to X-Function Benelux with three other managers. With regards to Nordica, the agreement covers all products under this brand, unlike the situation in some other countries.
