Following the retirement of Dennis Driscoll after a nearly 50-year career in the footwear industry, Xero Shoes has hired Michael Pao as its new Chief Product Officer, effective immediately. Pao joins Xero from Timberland, where he served as Vice President of Global Merchandising. In his 20-year career, the former professional football player has also held Vice President positions at Native Shoes, Crocs and Clarks, as well as Senior Product Management positions at Puma. He began his professional footwear career in 2003 as an intern in the football unit at Adidas before joining Hummel in 2004 as Footwear Product Manager.
