Yoox, the large Italian online retailer of fashion products, is planning to host a dedicated platform for sales of Adidas’s Y-3 fashion line under y3-store.com for the European market during the first half of 2011. Yoox hosts the e-commerce sites of a dozen different fashion houses such as Dolce & Gabbana for specific markets. Adidas is already selling the Y-3 collection online through its own website in the U.S. directly. In the past few months, Yoox has been adding new territorial sites for brands such as Bikkembergs, Merrell and Zegna Sport. Bikkembergs and Merrell are hosted in Yoox via Zeishouse.com, named after the company that licenses Merrell for the Italian market. Meanwhile, the first Y-3 store has opened on Via De Cristoforis in Milan on 200 square meters, following various other openings in Europe, the U.S. and Asia.
