ZEG, the German cycling cooperative, has reported that overall turnover rose by 10.8 percent to €393 million for 2009. E-bikes were cited as a big part of the increase. Another factor is the growing number of companies in the French group Veloland, which ZEG took over early last year. Veloland members had a 150 percent increase in turnover in 2009 as their ranks rose from 13 to 70. ZEG also noted that in 2009 it expanded in Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium.
