The timing couldn’t be better, could it? Adidas and Patrick Mahomes have just unveiled the Mahomes 2, the next installment of the quarterback’s signature footwear and apparel collection.
This collaboration marks the second time Mahomes and Adidas have joined forces since their initial launch, in August 2021, of the Mahomes 1 Impact FLX. Now they’re back at it again, aiming to capture Mahomes’ essence and interests in this new collection.
The Mahomes 2 Impact FLX kicks off with a sleek design featuring matte gold and bronze accents, drawing inspiration from Mahomes’ passion for luxury watches and his fixation on time. The new shoe also boasts improvements such as a generative traction outsole, enhanced mesh upper and Repetitor foam midsole. Alongside the footwear, the collection includes full-zip jackets, pants, T-shirts and shorts.
Chris Murphy, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing at Adidas, highlights the extensive collaboration between Mahomes and the brand’s top designers in crafting this premium collection, stating, “Mahomes 2 has been years in the making and is the result of unparalleled collaboration between Mahomes and our industry-leading designers to create a premium, unique collection.”
Mahomes himself reflects on the year-long journey to develop Mahomes 2, expressing excitement for fans to get their hands on the collection: “Our hard work and passion come to life today, and I can’t wait to see fans rocking the collection,” he said.
