Alpargatas Moves To Take Over Argentine Unit

The Brazilian footwear and sporting goods manufacturer São Paulo Alpargatas has asked the Argentine market regulator Comisión Nacional de Valores (CNV) to approve its plan to launch a bid to buy the outstanding shares in its subsidiary Alpargatas Argentina at a price of 3.40 Argentine pesos (€0.60-$0.89) per share.
