Nick Kyrgios has taken an ownership stake in The Picklr and will serve as athlete ambassador, as the indoor pickleball franchise accelerates expansion and marketing amid surging US demand.
The Picklr, North America’s premier indoor pickleball franchise, has announced that Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios is joining the company as an equity partner and athlete ambassador. The investment adds to Kyrgios’s growing pickleball portfolio, which already includes ownership in Vulcan and Stack Athletics.
As an athlete ambassador, Kyrgios will work with The Picklr to promote the brand and its mission of delivering world-class pickleball experiences for athletes of all ages and skill levels. The Grand Slam champion will feature in co-branded content, attend Picklr events on and off the court, and engage with members on social media to help drive awareness of pickleball in America.
“Beyond the athlete, Nick genuinely believes in what we’re building at The Picklr, and that’s what makes this partnership so powerful,” said Jorge Barragan, CEO and Co-Founder of The Picklr.
“When I play pickleball, I enjoy it most when I am with my friends and family. It’s become part of our life,” said Kyrgios.
The Picklr describes itself as North America’s fastest-growing network of premium indoor pickleball courts, with programmes for beginners through to pros. Membership grants access to all club locations across the US, free court reservations, four clinics per month, and unlimited participation in leagues, competitive events and tournaments.
