Adidas has revealed the team kits for the athletes at the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Embracing a singular design narrative, the kits symbolize a collective spirit while honoring the diverse national identities of each participating nation. Jacqueline King, Design Director for Specialist Sports at Adidas, shared insights into the design philosophy. “Our aim is to embody the essence of athletic design, particularly in a tournament that showcases the rich tapestry of sports. […] The result is a sleek and modern collection grounded in simplicity.”
Crafted to foster unity among athletes, the kits feature fonts and graphics across all apparel designed for the 15 officially sponsored teams. Adidas ensures that 86 percent of all competition, podium, and village wear are imbued with universal design principles, catering to athletes with and without disabilities, allowing for comfortable and distraction-free participation. Adidas has tailored the collection to meet the specific needs of athletes across various sports disciplines, from boxing to wrestling.
Beyond team kits, Adidas introduces a 2024 athlete pack featuring a diverse footwear collection tailored to 41 different disciplines. The orange and pink outsoles against the black uppers symbolize the shared passion and determination of athletes representing their sports on the global stage.
