Asics is partnering with Team Bath Tennis to establish the Bath Centre of Excellence as “the UK hub for its tennis initiatives,” said Team Bath. The team is based at the University of Bath’s Sports Training Village in Somerset. The partnership will focus on enhancing tennis development at all levels and product innovation.
Upon the terms of the agreement, four of Team Bath Tennis’ leading coaches – Tom Osborne, Ian MacDonald, Lauren English and Jordan Frederick – will integrate into the Asics Tennis Academy, a global network of tennis professionals sharing expertise in coaching.
The new partnership is also expected to “help solidify Team Bath Tennis as a national center of excellence and provide international recognition,” said Osborne, Head of Club Tennis at Team Bath Tennis.
