On has unveiled the second version of Roger Federer’s tennis sneaker, the On Roger 2, designed to meet the rigorous demands of professional tennis. This latest model emphasizes durability, featuring an abrasion-resistant and lightweight mesh upper with lateral TPU clips for added support. The toe cap is reinforced with rubber to withstand wear, and the sole boasts a new open herringbone pattern for optimal grip. Incorporating a carbon fiber Speedboard plate within its shock-absorbing foam midsole, the On Roger 2 is crafted to enhance performance with a 7mm heel-to-toe drop. Additional features include perforations in the tongue for increased breathability and an internal half-bootie to secure the foot.
The sneaker is available in configurations for both hard courts and clay. Color options for the hard court version include white and indigo for men and white with “Flame” red for women, while the clay version offers white-and-black and white-and-pink for both genders. Launched three years after Federer’s first on-court model at the 2021 Qatar Open, the On Roger 2 is now worn by top players like Ben Shelton and Iga Świątek.
