Under Armour has launched Rest Less, a campaign built around Hotel Armouré — a fictional five-star resort where elite athletes struggle to switch off. Conceived by London-based agency MOX for the football off-season, starring Ferran Torres, Fermín López and Ollie Watkins.
As football enters its annual summer lull between a World Cup and the start of domestic competitions, sportswear brands face a familiar challenge: how do you stay relevant when there are no matches to market around?
Under Armour’s answer is Rest Less, a global campaign built around Hotel Armouré, a fictional five-star resort where elite athletes arrive to recover but struggle to switch off. Starring footballers Ferran Torres, Fermín López and Ollie Watkins, alongside actor and comedian Nick Mohammed, artist Rilès and creator Sharky, the campaign transforms the football off-season into a content series designed to keep athletes visible long after the final whistle. Conceived and produced by London-based agency MOX, the project combines episodic films, creator content and social storytelling to showcase Under Armour’s FW26 sportswear collection.
From off-season to content series
MOX co-founder and executive creative director Matt Bolton said the idea started with a simple observation: footballers may be on break, but the off-season rarely looks like true downtime. Hotel Armouré turns that tension into a fictional world built to run like an entertainment property, not a one-off ad.
The rollout was designed to build momentum. It began on July 16 with teaser content “announcing” the hotel’s arrival, then unfolded into short films and social activations. The official campaign launch followed on July 24, with fresh episodes released throughout the week as the hotel’s calm, luxury facade gave way to escalating chaos.
Episodes leaned into serial storytelling: staff prepping for demanding guests, leaked-style clips of Ollie Watkins practicing his golf swing in a hotel robe, frozen swimming pools and other mishaps that kept the narrative moving. Recurring characters, including “Pool Guy” and cleaning creator Jack.Designs, helped extend the Hotel Armouré universe through creator-native formats built for social platforms.
The campaign trailer is being distributed across VOD and BVOD platforms in the UK, France and Spain, supported by UK cinema placements as well as social-first content across Under Armour’s ecosystem.
