80.000 Nordic skiers in one week. That’s how big the world’s biggest cross-country ski race has grown. Vasaloppet is now extending its 22-year collaboration agreement with the Swedish sports chain Stadium.
A new agreement has been signed where Stadium will host Tjejvasan (girls only race). In addition, work continues to improve the local experience for participants in all disciplines: Skiing, Cycling and Running.
– We are very pleased to further strengthen the partnership with Stadium, whose much-appreciated presence on-site during the events provides a valuable service to all participants, and especially to the skiers at Tjejvasan. Together we continue to work to inspire people to move,” says Erika Christensson, Marketing Manager at Vasaloppet.
The new agreement focuses on the local experience in the Vasaloppet arena both during Vasaloppet’s winter week of skiing and Vasaloppet’s summer week of cycling and running. There will be physical stores in Sälen and Mora to serve the more than 80,000 registered participants better, and there will be inspiring activities in the arena to encourage participants all the way to the finish line, both summer and winter. Together with DHL, Stadium will also host Tjejvasan, the world’s largest women-only long-distance race, which will be held for the 37th time this winter.
Vasaloppet and Stadium have had a very rewarding and developing partnership over the years, and with continued collaboration, we are taking new steps together, including hosting Tjejvasan. Together with Vasaloppet, we know that we can inspire more people to lead an active life, says Patrizia Nilsson, Head of Sports Marketing at Stadium.
