Wilson Sporting Goods has announced the launch of the RF Collection, a new tennis equipment line, designed and developed with tennis legend and longstanding partner Roger Federer. The collection is meant to represent Federer’s “profound impact on the sport and his unwavering dedication to excellence,” the company said in a statement. The RF Collection by Wilson launched globally on August 8, coinciding with Roger Federer’s birthday.
The new collection has been years in the making, including in-depth racket testing with the former professional tennis player, who has been partnering with Wilson over the last 20 years. The inaugural RF 01 is the first racket line in the new signature collection and includes three models, all designed and tested by Federer himself, claims the brand: the RF 01 PRO, RF 01, and RF 01 Future. The collection also features performance bags and accessories.
The rackets feature style elements that draw inspiration from Federer’s personal and professional life, including the iconic RF logo and a unique peak design that represents the mountains of his native Switzerland.
