LIV Golf and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), have entered a three-year partnership to deliver innovative sport-for-protection programs for refugees and internally displaced people and their host communities. It is the UNHCR’s first-ever golf partnership.
Through this partnership, LIV Golf has committed $10 million to increase access to sport and education for up to one million forcibly displaced people in Asia, Africa, Europe and South America. The agreement will support the introduction of golf and play-based activities to improve their quality of life. Activities from this new partnership will take place in schools, community centers, camps and sports clubs.
LIV Golf is a global sports league with 13 teams and a 14-tournament schedule. Founded in 2022, it is owned and operated by LIV Golf Investments, which invests to tap the sport’s worldwide potential and enhance the global golf ecosystem.
