Asice Corporation has made a decisive move to expand its global digital footprint by acquiring 100 percent of two key race registration platform operators: DPTK Innovacion y Technologia SL (Deporticket) in Spain, and Thaidotrun Co. Ltd. (Thairun) in Thailand.
Spain deal with leading platform
The first deal, the acquisition of Deporticket, which is Spain’s second-largest race registration platform, was executed on Nov. 17, 2025. Deporticket offers comprehensive services, including platform operations, race calendars, and website customization for numerous Spanish running events.
Thailand brings facial recognition tech to the table
The second deal, the acquisition of Thairun, was agreed upon on November 19, 2025, with execution tentatively scheduled for between April and June 2026. Thairun stands as Thailand’s largest provider of race registration and event-related services. Crucially, Thairun brings advanced digital assets to the table, notably a proprietary race photo business that uses facial recognition systems and a strong media presence within the local running community.
Two deals, one strategic vision
Both transactions – the purchase prices of which were undisclosed due to confidentiality agreements – directly advance Asics’s corporate strategy. By integrating these market leaders, Asics is expanding its direct reach to runners in two different, high-growth markets across Europe and Southeast Asia.
Global ambition with founders staying aboard
The ultimate goal is to leverage these platforms to enhance the runner’s experience through personalised digital services and establish Asics as a dominant race registration platform company across five major global regions: North America, Europe, Japan, Oceania, and Southeast Asia. Jorge Déniz de Armas, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Deporticket, and Bunyarit Uyyanonvara, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Thairun, will continue with their respective companies under Asics ownership.
