Spanish court maker Padel Galis has opened a 550-square-meter showroom and test center beside its factory and offices in Silla, near Valencia. Galis Lab, as the facility is called, is operational but will be fully equipped as of October 2026.

Center stage is an Atlas court, the model Padel Galis first showed at Padel World Summit 2025. Each half of the court is laid with a different turf, and the whole uses several of the company’s lighting systems. “A padel court may always look the same, but there are many variables that change the playing experience, particularly lighting and turf,” says Salva Segura, director of strategy and business development at Padel Galis.

Arrayed around the court are changing rooms, a gym, a conference room and lounges: enough to host 60 people or the company’s own annual team meeting. Players, coaches and partners can use the court to shoot footage, stage presentations and hold tournaments. The company wants to draw in outsiders.

Startups and other companies developing products for the sport can use the court to conduct tests. “We invite companies developing new solutions to use our facilities to test their products, present them to us and, in some cases, collaborate with our team,” says Juan Larraz, the chief executive. Formal tests usually occur in laboratories.

The Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia, at the Universitat Politècnica de València, is accredited by the Spanish Padel Federation to test surfaces in its lab and on installed courts. It is also one of three labs the International Padel Federation accredits to certify balls, alongside Labosport in Le Mans (France) and RINA Consulting’s Centro Sviluppo Materiali in Rome.

Testea Sport Lab, also at the Universitat Politècnica de València, describes itself as the first laboratory devoted to padel racquets, and Decathlon cites test results from there to market the Kuikma line. Racquet brands test in-house as well: Kuikma says it checks durability at its design lab in France.

Rival court makers like Jubopadel run showrooms where buyers can try a court before ordering, but perhaps the nearest equivalent to Galis Lab is the Play Arena at Padel World Summit, the trade show in Barcelona, where brands can test products under playing conditions but only for three days a year.

Galis Lab follows on changes to Padel Galis’s ownership. In the spring Larraz and Segura bought a majority stake in the company, bringing in minority investors tied to management. Atitlan Group, which invested in 2021, kept 27 percent. EBN Corporate & Investment Banking financed the deal.

According to Atitlan, revenue at privately owned Padel Galis rose to more than €27 million in 2025 from €6.7 million in 2021. The company says it has installed more than 10,000 courts in more than 85 countries and can produce more than 5,000 a year.
