Keen Footwear has launched the “Keen Corps” program, a bonus program for voluntary work, donations to non-profit organizations and purchases. With the loyalty rewards program, the American footwear producers aims to reward those who give back to the community. Registered customers can earn points in exchange for access to exclusive products and events. Individual and collective dashboards allow members to track their efforts as well as the full impact of the program. The first event is the Keen Trail Clean-up Challenge, which takes place in September with seven regional partners across the U.S. Keen sees the program as a response to the current trend toward greater social engagement, which is especially prevalent among Gen Z. The pandemic has sparked a desire among people to make the world a better place and not go back to the way it was before the pandemic, the company said. “People are taking a long hard look at their lifestyles and their purpose. We want to provide a channel for engagement and to empower them to make a difference. The Keen Corps program is where this happens. It’s all about activism and a positive effect on our communities,” said Erik Burbank, vice president of The Keen Effect. With Keen Corps, the company aims to overcome hurdles to take action.
