Skiwear brand Perfect Moment has opened its first US-based warehouse and distribution center. The facility, located in Dallas, Texas, has been designed to optimize order fulfilment and distribution across North America and is operated in partnership with supply chain management firm Quiet Platforms.
The move is part of Perfect Moment’s expansion plans for the US, which will also include the opening of its first physical store in Soho New York later this month. Perfect Moment’s sales in the US alone reached nearly $10 million or more than 40 percent of its total net revenues in its last fiscal year.
In addition to lowering overall shipping costs, the US-based distribution center will allow Perfect Moment to pay lower import duties based on transfer price rather than the higher retail price, the company explained in a statement. Additionally, Quiet Platforms’ AI-powered localized delivery system will enable faster and more convenient shipping and return processing. Quiet Platforms’ end-to-end fulfillment and delivery solution, Click2Door, is an AI-powered platform that permits predictable per-order costs encompassing the entire order journey.
Perfect Moment was founded in 1984 in Chamonix. In 2010, British-Swiss entrepreneurial couple Jane and Max Gottschalk took ownership of the brand. Today, Perfect Moment is available globally both online and via key retailers.
