Germany’s largest fitness promotion, “United Let’s Move!”, invites the public to train for free in over 850 participating gyms nationwide from Sept. 23 to 30, 2024. This initiative, organized by the DSSV in conjunction with the European Week of Sports, aims to encourage more physical activity among all age groups. A special launch event will be held at the John Reed fitness studio in Berlin, featuring celebrity athletes like boxer Zeina Nassar and a variety of engaging fitness classes.
Key players in the German fitness industry, including McFit, Gold’s Gym and Fitness First, are participating, with free access to their facilities for an entire week. This campaign promotes fitness and emphasizes the mental and physical health benefits of regular exercise.
During the launch event in Berlin, notable figures from the worlds of fitness, media and politics will gather to support the campaign’s message of health and well-being. The opening day’s highlight includes live workout sessions with top trainers and public figures, encouraging widespread participation.
The DSSV, Germany’s leading employer association for fitness and health facilities, supports this movement, hoping to inspire individuals across Germany to adopt an active lifestyle. As part of the broader European Week of Sports initiative, “United Let’s Move!” focuses on addressing sedentary behavior and promoting exercise as part of daily life.
