Global retail giant Intersport has become the first major retail partner to confirm attendance at ISPO 2026, marking a vote of confidence in the event’s new format and relocation to Amsterdam.

ISPO, the world’s leading trade fair for sporting goods and outdoor industries, is entering a new chapter as it moves from Munich to Amsterdam in November 2026. Organizers Raccoon Media Group and Messe München announced that Intersport, one of the largest sporting goods retailers globally, will be the first major retail partner to join the reimagined event.

Intersport’s global reach signals trade show confidence

With 5,464 specialist stores across 42 countries, Intersport’s early commitment underscores strong industry confidence in ISPO’s strategic shift toward ROI-driven engagement, lead generation, and hosted buyer programmes.

Dedicated retail space anchors new format

The 2026 edition will feature a dedicated Intersport Members Lounge at the RAI Amsterdam, as part of a £1 million expansion of ISPO’s global hosted buyer initiative. “Partnering with Intersport as our first confirmed retail partner for ISPO 2026 is a major milestone,” said Mike Seaman, Group CEO of Raccoon Media Group. “This collaboration allows us to bring brands and retailers closer together and sets a powerful foundation for what ISPO 2026 will represent.”

Beyond booths: immersive engagement model

The revamped ISPO promises an immersive experience beyond traditional booths, with curated content, networking activations, and social events designed to foster deeper relationships between brands and buyers. Organisers emphasise that the move to Amsterdam and earlier dates will improve accessibility and deliver measurable business outcomes.
