Described as a broader “communications system,” the motto aims to place people at the heart of the Games.
The Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 has revealed its new motto, “IT’s Your Vibe.” The motto was announced during the World Broadcasters Meeting, which was held in Milan on Feb. 19-21, organized by the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS). The event took place at Fiera Milano Congressi, which will become the Main Media Centre (MMC) for the Games.

“IT” symbolizes Italy, the host country. The vibes refer to the energy and connection between every person associated with Milano Cortina 2026, from athletes to fans, volunteers and more. The motto has also been chosen for its versatility, explains the IOC in a statement. For example, it can be adapted to specific host cities or sports: “IT’s Milan – IT’s Your Vibe”, “IT’s Cortina – IT’s Your Vibe”, “IT’s figure skating - IT’s Your Vibe”, etc. “For the first time in Olympic history, the motto is not just a phrase but a communications system that adapts to every person, sport and venue, making everyone feel part of the world’s greatest sporting event,” explained the IOC.
The Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 will take place on Feb. 6-22, 2026, followed by the Paralympic Winter Games on March 6-15.
