The Gen-Z sneaker brand plans to expand its own production and inventory while pushing further into direct-to-consumer sales and major marketplaces.

Zaydn, a Delhi-based sneaker and lifestyle brand, has secured approximately $680,000 in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), a venture capital firm headquartered in Gurugram, India. The round also saw participation from BeyondSeed and a group of private angel investors.

Zaydn plans to use the capital toward increasing its inventory and in-house production capabilities. The company also intends to accelerate growth across its direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels and major online marketplaces, including Myntra, Amazon, and Nykaa.

Zaydn was founded in 2022 by Ankit Dass, who had entered the family’s footwear business in 2019 before starting the new company. He was later joined by Co-Founder Vidushi Chaudhary. Dass is the company’s CEO while Chaudhary serves as Chief Marketing Officer. The brand develops premium streetwear sneakers at accessible prices, designed for Gen-Z consumers, with an emphasis on digital presence. Its styles are meant to combine style, affordability and comfort, with ranges featuring memory-foam insoles, dual cushioning and breathable uppers.

Ankit Dass commented: “Our goal has never just been to make sneakers that look good; it’s to make sneakers our customers feel confident and proud to wear at a price that keeps them accessible. IPV’s speed, professionalism, and structured approach stood out to me from the start, and we’re excited to have them alongside us as we take that vision to a much larger scale.”
