Five flights up at its Preciados-Callao store, near Madrid’s Puerta del Sol, El Corte Inglés has dedicated a parcel of the sales floor to “sneaker culture and urban fashion” and called it the Sneaker Room.
There it displays “exclusive launches, iconic models and new products from the market’s main national and international brands” – such as Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Asics, Puma, Salomon, Saucony, Hoka, On, Crocs, Vans, Jordan, Keen and Reebok. Customers can choose from chunky sneakers, retro sneakers, clogs, everyday designs and sneakers inspired by the athletic shoes of the past. The same collections are available for purchase from the store at Barcelona’s Plaza Cataluña and through the retail chain’s website.
The Sneaker Room has its own webpage, and El Corte Inglés is maintaining a newsletter for it. Customers can sign up for it by entering their email address into a field at the bottom of the dedicated webpage, where it reads “No te pierdas nada” (Don’t miss out on anything”).
