Løplabbet, the Norwegian sporting goods retailer specializing in running and training, has reported a 12.3 percent sales increase to 72.6 million Norwegian kroner (€8.92m-$11.55m) for 2013. With its nine stores, it is expecting to raise them again to more than NOK 80 million (€9.83m-$12.73m) this year according to its general manager, Tor Fauske, who was quoted in a Norwegian newspaper. Profitability declined last year, mainly due to costs incurred to upgrade stores, IT systems and the company's website, but it should improve this year, said Fauske, who is aiming for a pretax margin of between five and ten percent of sales in 2014.
