The collaboration is meant to accelerate technology transfer toward pilot tests and trials.

Anta Sports Products Group, the controlling shareholder of Amer Sports, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) and the China Textile Academy(CTA). The collaborations are expected to lead to “groundbreaking solutions and enhanced competitive advantages.”

The collaborations will revolve around key areas such as new fiber materials, smart manufacturing and devices, functional products and sustainable regenerated textiles, explained HKRITA in a statement.

The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA), established in 2006, is funded by the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission and is hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The China Textile Academy (CTA) is a comprehensive research institute and high-tech industrial base for China’s textile industry.
