Spanish sportswear brand Joma has reinforced its commitment to R&D in padel through laboratory tests on its rackets.
A study was carried out on Joma’s padel rackets to obtain information about their performance in different game situations. The report was conducted by Atria Innovation, a Spain-based firm specializing in R&D testing.
Laboratory tests were conducted to analyze the following aspects of Joma rackets: weight and balance, power and ball output, material hardness, vibration absorption in the handle, and handling (measured with UR10 robot that simulates the movement of a human arm). Among the key findings: Joma padel rackets offer a slightly above-average power and impact absorption, providing offensive play and reducing vibration levels, claims Joma.
