Hubertus “Bert” Hoyt, with 22 years at Nike, joins DBIO.

Decentralized Biotechnology Intelligence Holding Group (DBIO), a sports and health tech company that produces wearables with built-in tech, has appointed former Nike executive Hubertus “Bert” Hoyt as Board Advisor.

The company described Hoyt in a media release as a “renowned sports industry expert with over 32 years of experience.”

Hoyt began his career in 1989 at Puma, where he rose from product management to business leadership. He eventually served as general manager of Puma International, playing a key role in driving the company’s growth between 1992 and 1998.

The company described Hoyt in a media release as a “renowned sports industry expert with over 32 years of experience.”

Hoyt joined Nike in 1998 and spent 22 years with the brand as a senior executive, dealing in brand management, business unit general management and global category management, and eventually serving nine years as Vice President and General Manager of Nike Western Europe and EMEA. 

Since retiring from Nike in early 2021, Hoyt has reportedly served as a non-executive director at both JD Sports and Crius Bidco Limited (owner of Zelus Sport Limited, a Nike licensee).
