Phantom Glide, the sister company of DPS Skis announced the hire of former World Cup Nordic Combined champion Billy Demong as Head of Strategic Product Development. Demong, who has been an active Phantom Glide tester since its invention more than seven years ago, will officially join his recently hired colleague Ted Ligety as a permanent member of the design, development and business strategy teams at DPS and Phantom Glide.

“Billy Demong is a legend of American Nordic skiing, and we’re lucky to have him on our DPS and Phantom Glide product teams,” said Chico Bukovansky, Global Sales Director for DPS and Phantom Glide. “Billy has just the right mix of experience, curiosity, and engineering prowess to help us push the limits of what is possible with Phantom Glide. “Billy has a real drive to re-think how we travel over snow in the backcountry, and we’re excited to see what he’s able to accomplish in that realm,” he concluded.
