Oura is adding a roster of public-company veterans to its board as the smart ring maker moves closer to a U.S. stock market debut. The appointments strengthen the company’s governance credentials ahead of a proposed listing that could value Oura at more than $16 billion, marking one of the largest consumer health technology IPOs in recent years.

The board expansion shifts attention from Oura’s products to the governance structures investors will scrutinize ahead of a public listing.

Chief executive Tom Hale announced the appointment of four new independent directors: Jason Warnick, current chief financial officer of Robinhood Markets, who spent seven years steering that company through its own IPO after nearly two decades at Amazon; Leslie Kilgore, former chief marketing officer of Netflix and a current board member at Netflix and Pinterest; Miki Kuusi, co-founder of Wolt who led the company from its 2014 founding through its acquisition by DoorDash and now serves as chief executive of Deliveroo; and David Sze, managing partner at venture capital firm Greylock Partners, whose portfolio has included LinkedIn, Roblox and Facebook.

They join existing directors Timo Ahopelto, Dennis Durkin, Wen Hsieh, Eurie Kim and chairman David Shuman.

The board build-out lands ahead of the IPO

In May, Oura filed confidentially for a U.S. IPO, working with an underwriting group led by Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase on an offering that could raise up to $3 billion and take place as soon as this month. That target would be a sharp jump from the roughly $11 billion valuation Oura carried after its 2025 funding round, an $875 million Series E backed by Fidelity, ICONIQ and Dexcom, among others.

Revenue growth underpins the ambition.

Oura generated $500 million in 2024, and Hale has said revenue could approach $2 billion in 2026, a trajectory built increasingly on subscription income rather than one-off hardware sales. Membership starts at $5.99 a month, and Oura has said it is on track to surpass five million paid members this quarter.

The governance work extends beyond the board.

Oura has named Sanjay Chandra, formerly of Lucid Motors, as its first chief information officer, and Han Chiu, formerly chief technology officer at Click Therapeutics, as senior vice president of AI and software engineering, both tasked with building the data infrastructure behind Oura’s push into domain-specific health AI models. Earlier this year, the company also began shifting its legal home from Finland to the United States.
