Technogym has completed its internal finance leadership succession following William Marabini’s September 1 resignation as CFO.

Technogym shares have recovered most of the ground lost following the resignation of chief financial officer William Marabini.

The stock closed at €12.87 on September 8, according to market data from Teleborsa and Il Sole 24 Ore, compared with €12.91 before the resignation was disclosed on September 2. The shares had fallen to a 52-week low of €12.20 on September 3 as investors reacted to the unexpected announcement.

Marabini’s departure became effective on September 1. In its initial statement, Technogym disclosed the resignation and outlined an internal reallocation of responsibilities. The company subsequently clarified that Marabini had resigned voluntarily to pursue what it called “a new professional opportunity.”

To ensure continuity, the board assigned finance, administration and control responsibilities to Carlo Capelli, a long-serving director who has worked with Technogym for more than two decades and has served on the board since 2008. Risk and internal control responsibilities were transferred to deputy chairman Pierluigi Alessandri.

Equita told Teleborsa it saw no operational implications from the management change, while noting that the transition lands in what it called a difficult year for the stock.

A week after the announcement, the share price has largely returned to its pre-resignation level, closing within half a percent of where it traded before Marabini’s exit was disclosed.
