Chinese down jacket manufacturer Bosideng showcased its latest “Weightless Down Jacket” technology at a runway show during Milan Fashion Week at La Vigna di Leonardo.

While Bosideng drew inspiration from the Italian Renaissance and the architecture of La Vigna di Leonardo, the featured collection was focused on fashion couture but offered an interesting display of the down material’s potential uses. The new collection redefined weightless down jackets under the slogan “Versatile, Weightless, Warm, Contemporary” and fused Chinese and Italian cultures.
Eileen Gu, the Chinese-American freestyle skier and global brand ambassador for Bosideng, made her debut on the runway for a Chinese clothing brand during the show. Bosideng’s front row included well-known Chinese actresses Caiyu Yang and Zhuzhu, as well as actress Leighton Meester, known for her role on the television series Gossip Girl.
Bosideng uses internationally certified 700+ fill goose down, making the outerwear both lighter and warmer than traditional down garments, according to the manufacturer. At the same time, three key lightweight insulation technologies were improved by incorporating patented heat and moisture balancing systems, the introduction of exclusive high-stretch fabrics and heat-recovery technologies. These achievements represent a breakthrough in the production of versatile clothing suitable for all seasons, different scenarios and lifestyles.
Bosideng has been dedicated to down outerwear since 1976. The company has been certified by Euromonitor International as the world’s largest manufacturer of down jackets.
Bosideng has been present at the international fashion weeks in New York, Milan and London for three consecutive years and has collaborated with renowned designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Takada Kenzo. Pioneering the concept of down-filled trench coats to the new generation of weightless down jackets, Bosideng has consistently redefined the standards of the down jacket industry and brought Chinese fashion to the world stage.
