adidas’s first Originals Sport collection puts Superstar-era design codes into women’s training wear, mixing performance fabrics with fashion
adidas has introduced Originals Sport, its first training collection combining adidas Originals design codes with performance technology for the gym. The line was unveiled in New York City on July 22, 2026, and has been on sale since July 23 via adidas.com and in retail stores, priced between €40 and €80.
The launch brings adidas Originals design cues into gym apparel, pairing heritage aesthetics with performance features. It also expands the Originals franchise beyond its traditional streetwear focus into training.
The collection draws on the Superstar tracksuit and includes bras, leggings, tanks, layering pieces and a onesie. Bras use AdiSOFT and LYCRA ADAPTIV for breathable, flexible support; leggings in 7/8 and full length styles use LYCRA ADAPTIV construction; tops such as the Superstar Bra Tee and Originals Sport Tank Padded use CLIMACOOL for ventilation. Layering pieces include the Superstar Midlayer and Originals Sport Coverup.
The launch campaign features musicians Tate McRae and Emilia Mernes alongside professional volleyball player Harper Murray.
“Redefining what performance looks like”
So Lisann Costello, VP Product Design Partnerships & Sports Marketing at adidas, said the goal of the collection is to let women train without trading off style for function.
