Priced below the GEL-Resolution X and Solution Speed FF 4, the GEL-Challenger 15 carries ASICS’ stability messaging into an accessible tier, having already served as the base shoe for a July collaboration with FP Movement.
ASICS has launched the GEL-Challenger 15, a New York-themed tennis shoe priced at €130, the brand’s third tennis footwear story of 2026 and the first since it rebuilt its entire tennis range around a two-category ”Playing Styles” system in June.
The shoe pairs a Saffron and Steel Grey colorway with WINGWALL technology, a structural sidewall reinforcement built into the midsole to resist outward foot roll during lateral movement. In June ASICS organized its tennis footwear around two movement profiles, Speed and Stability, mapped onto the GEL-Resolution X and Solution Speed FF 4.
The GEL-Challenger 15 sits below that hero tier on price, but leans on the same stability logic that anchors the Stability side of that framework, an entry point built to carry the brand’s biomechanical positioning further down the price ladder.

The launch also extends a shoe that has already done double duty this year. In July ASICS paired the GEL-Challenger 15 and the GEL NIMBUS 28 with FP Movement for the brand’s first combined running-and-tennis footwear collaboration, using the same silhouette to reach a lifestyle-oriented, largely female activewear customer outside specialty tennis retail. Beyond the sidewall reinforcement, the shoe’s upper uses a synthetic leather construction with a thicker ankle collar and plush tongue, and a full-length outsole with a separated groove pattern intended to widen the shoe’s ground contact area for softer landings.
The rollout is flanked by a social-first campaign: a multi-part Instagram series on the @asicstennis account, running from Aug. 18, follows a player’s search for an open court through New York City.
