H&M MOVE is moving beyond activewear, teaming with H&M Beauty to launch Court Line, a tennis themed capsule that pairs performance apparel with a new fragrance range.
The collection went live on hm.com on June 25. Five pieces, including a bra tank, fitted jacket, tennis dress, biker shorts and a lined split skirt, use SoftMove fabric, a stretch material designed for movement on and off court. The range includes tennis specific features such as ball pockets, built in shorts and integrated bras.
H&M Beauty developed the scents. The Tennis Eau de Toilette blends cut grass, violet leaf and soft musk and comes with a tennis ball style cap. Two hair and body mists round out the lineup: Tennis Whites, with bergamot and magnolia notes, and Strawberries & Cream, built around strawberry, vanilla and whipped cream. Accessories include a beauty bag and a tennis ball bag charm with a built in lip balm.
The bigger signal is not the apparel but the category shift. By giving a sports sub brand a fragrance extension, H&M is bundling apparel, accessories and scent under a single seasonal concept.
The timing targets the Wimbledon window, when tennis has its widest cultural reach and its visual codes travel well beyond core fans.
