Nike has opened a 500-square-meter flagship store in Lagos. It is the brand’s first in Nigeria and the whole of West Africa. The store is powered by Hudson Brand Development Nigeria, a subsidiary of Hudson Holdings Group, the retail partner for Nike and other sports and fashion brands in the region. The new Nike Nigeria store, located at the Ikeja City Mall in the country’s largest city, was inaugurated on Aug. 25 in the presence of celebrities, Nigerian fashion influencers and sports enthusiasts. Earlier this summer, Nike partnered with Women Win and Nigerian football player Asisat Oshoala, who plays for FC Barcelona Femení, to launch The Asisat Oshoala Academy, an organization that provides access to football and lifeskills for marginalized schoolgirls in Lagos. Nike also recently extended its contract agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation until December 2026.
