French former professional footballer Patrick Evra has teamed up with tech entrepreneur Tommy Fish to co-found PLAYER, a new platform and app that aims to help amateur footballers connect with scouts, agents and clubs. The tool is initially launching in England but reportedly with plans to launch in other countries as well.
Similarly to Linked In, the new app is used as a digital CV, in this case with a focus on a player’s football career. Users can post and share their own statistics, club history and video content.
PLAYER is currently accessed on an invite-only basis. It is expected to open to the public in 2025.
Patrice Evra, 43, primarily played as a left-back and served as captain for both Manchester United and the France national team.
