The new platform centralizes data on sport in France and is meant to support decision-makers.

The French Ministry of Sport, in collaboration with the National Institute of Youth and Popular Education (INJEP), has launched Data.Sports, a new digital platform that centralizes key data on sport in France. The new platform is designed to assist public authorities, federations, researchers, and communities in formulating sports policies and making well-informed decisions.

The platform provides federation profiles (e.g. information on licenses and gender distribution), territorial profiles (e.g. data on sports facilities and sport-related employment) and detailed information on 333,000 sports facilities across France.

Data.Sports was created to address the requirements identified by the National Sport Observatory. The portal is expected to be regularly enriched in collaboration with field actors and institutional partners.
