By adding YETI alongside Patagonia and Rab, SportsShoes.com signals that UK specialist retailers are competing on brand authority rather than range breadth as mid-market volume migrates to Zalando and Amazon.

UK online retailer SportsShoes.com has signed a UK distribution agreement with outdoor hard-goods brand YETI, adding the American company’s coolers, insulated drinkware and outdoor bags to its e-commerce platform. The deal gives YETI another wholesale route in the UK, where the brand has built consumer awareness but remains heavily weighted to direct-to-consumer sales. For SportsShoes.com, it adds depth in premium hard goods.

SportsShoes.com carries around 150 brands, spanning performance running names including Asics, Nike, adidas, Hoka, New Balance and Brooks, alongside outdoor labels such as Salomon, Montane, Rab and Patagonia. YETI’s coolers, vacuum-insulated drinkware and carry bags extend the retailer’s offer beyond footwear and apparel.

A bet on gear-adjacent spending

The rationale is a shift in baskets: consumers buying technical footwear and apparel through specialist channels are increasingly adding performance-adjacent accessories at the same point of purchase. YETI’s positioning around durability and outdoor use places it at the premium end of that add-on category.
