Hugo Boss is handing its CFO and COO roles to an internal successor at a moment when Frasers Group already controls the boardroom, having installed its own chief executive as chairman weeks earlier without completing a full takeover.
German premium fashion group HUGO BOSS is changing its finance and operations leadership as Frasers Group’s grip on the company’s boardroom tightens. Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Yves Müller is leaving the Managing Board at his own request, for personal reasons, and will be succeeded by Ivica Maric, currently Executive Vice President Business Operations, effective Oct. 1.

The move lands weeks after Frasers Group secured control of Hugo Boss’s boardroom without completing its takeover. Frasers’s shareholding stood at 47.89 percent once its voluntary public offer concluded, and it has said its goal is to eventually hold more than 50 percent of the share capital and voting rights. Frasers Group chief executive Michael Murray had taken the Hugo Boss chairmanship, days after predecessor Stephan Sturm exited amid Frasers pressure, a shift SGIE covered Sept. 14 alongside Frasers’s effort to secure a second board seat for Robert Palmer.
Maric joined Hugo Boss in 2005 and has held leadership roles across Controlling and Accounting. He was named Senior Vice President Controlling in 2012, took charge of Business Operations in 2022 and became Executive Vice President Business Operations in 2023.
