We have agreed to partner with Ispo to support its initiatives in the area of digital know-how, in view of the enormous challenges and opportunities created by the digitalization process for our sector. As part of this partnership, all the subscribers to SGI Europe who have not yet registered for the Ispo Digitize Summit on July 3-4 in Munich will benefit from a 20 percent discount on the price of the ticket.
We assume that many of them have already taken advantage of the Early Bird discount that expired on May 28. We now invite the others to check out the program of the convention on www.ispo.com/en/digitize and to order one or more tickets on the same website by giving the following promotional voucher code during the payment process in order to get the 20 percent discount: Partner_20.
Attendance levels are looking positive so far for the second edition of this international convention. According to Christoph Rapp, project manager of the Ispo Digitize Summit, the organizers have received more registrations as compared to the same time last year, with about half of them coming from outside Germany. All the keynote speeches will be held in English or simultaneously translated into English. Workshops will be held in English or German or both languages, and the language will be clearly posted.
The second Ispo Digitize Summit will take place on July 3-4 at the Munich International Congress Center (ICM) right after the new OutDoor by Ispo fair and shortly before Ispo Shanghai. We have already reported on some of the highlights of the conference in our last issue, but other interesting topics have emerged since then. Speakers from Adidas, Microsoft, Accenture and other companies will take the podium, in addition to the ones already mentioned.
For example, Moritz Hagenmüller, managing director of Accenture in charge of the German-speaking countries and Russia, will give a talk on “Beyond Omni-Channel – the Next Wave of Digital Innovation.” An expert from Microsoft will discuss ways in which sports may be re-thought with the help of artificial intelligence.
Another speaker will address the topic of mobile e-commerce, or M-commerce, indicating how influencer marketing can be adapted to this growing form of shopping. Others will speak about the potential of voice technology for the sports industry, in view of the growing use of smart speakers like Amazon's Alexa and Google Home, and on the tools that can improve the interaction between the brands and retailers and consumers.
As reported in our last issue, the convention will also deal with other important topics such as Data Analytics & Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Digital Talents & Recruiting, Change Management & Digital Culture and Digital Infrastructure.
