IRX: An impression from the International Running Expo, IRX, launch event

The first edition of the IRX is positioning itself as the central meeting point for the global running community – bridging the gaps between performance, business and lifestyle. With more than 200 international exhibitors confirmed – including Scott Sports SA, Mount to Coast, Adidas Eyewear, Veja, Hyperice, Suunto, Julbo, Skechers and CEP – the event aims to showcase the latest developments in footwear, apparel, nutrition, recovery and technology.

Over two days, the event’s conference stage (The Podium) will feature industry leaders sharing perspectives on topics ranging from sustainability and innovation to retail transformation and community engagement. Speakers will include Tom Foley, CEO of Intersport International; Fabrice Perrin, Sports & Sustainability Director at UTMB Group; Kirsty Woodbridge, Head of Communications at Parkrun; Urs Weber, Editor of Runner’s World; and Daniel Macaulay, founder of Brandwave Marketing.

IRX focuses on business, networking and community

In addition to its professional agenda, IRX will host elite athletes such as Dean Karnazes, Scott Jurek and Susie Chan, who will discuss mindset, motivation and performance at the highest level.

The show also promises hands-on experiences, from shake-out runs and breathwork sessions to ice-bath immersions and training drills, offering visitors the chance to test new products directly.

IRX organizers emphasize that business networking will be balanced with community and connection, with such informal events as Coffee & Connect sessions, a Sip & Social networking hour and a Cool Down Party on Tuesday evening.

The event reflects growing momentum within the global running market, which continues to expand in the performance, retail and experiential segments alike. IRX aims to become a fixture on the international trade show calendar – linking the professional and participatory sides of the sport.
