Burkhard Stork will serve as the new managing director of the Zweirad-Industrie-Verband (ZIV), the German bicycle industry organization, as from March 2021. Stork is currently federal managing director (MD) of the General German Bicycle Club (ADFC), the country’s largest bicycle lobby group, which he has been leading for nine years. At ZIV, Stork will replace Ernst Brust, who took over the role of MD on July 1 after the sudden death of Siegfried Neuberger, ZIV’s long-standing MD. According to reports in Bike Europe, Brust will also continue to lead the technology division until Stork’s arrival next year, when he plans to start looking for a successor as ZIV’s head of technology.
