Slinger Bag, the innovative ball launcher, continues its international expansion, announcing new distribution agreements in Australia and Africa in the last few days. The product will be launched in the Australian market in October under a new, exclusive five-year agreement with Tennis One, which has four retail stores in the country as well as a website, described as the most visited tennis web store in the country. There are two million active tennis players in Australia and around half of them play at least once a month, according to industry data.

The tennis market is much smaller in Africa, yet Slinger Bag has also appointed its first distributor in in the continent for its game-improvement product. It’s a company called Planet Sport, which operates 20 points of sale and online store in Morocco. Here again, the distribution agreement is a five-year deal. According to Planet Sport, there are about 50,000 regular tennis players in Morocco.

Run by Mike Ballardie, an industry veteran who worked in leading positions for Wilson and Prince, Slinger Bag started up early last year by focusing on the tennis market, but the company now indicates that it intends to deliver game-changing technologies across all ball sports categories.
