The On Athletics Club Oceania team has grown to 13 with five new signings, marking the Swiss brand’s deepest investment in Oceanian track talent since the Melbourne hub launched in 2023.
On has added five athletes to its On Athletics Club (OAC) Oceania roster, expanding the Melbourne-based training group to 13 ahead of the 2026 championship season, according to a company statement.
Why the club model matters
Unlike individual endorsement deals, the club model places athletes in a shared training environment with dedicated coaching, aligning competition results with On’s performance positioning in footwear and apparel.

OAC Oceania launched in 2023 under head coach Craig Mottram and forms part of On’s wider network of training hubs. The program focuses on developing middle- and long-distance runners from Australia and New Zealand.
Five additions to the roster
The new signings include established internationals and recent US college standouts. Stewart McSweyn, 30, is an Australian middle-distance runner and national record holder. New Zealand’s Sam Tanner is a two-time Olympian and 1500m specialist. Sarah Tait, a Scottish steeplechaser and national record holder, joins after competing at West Virginia University and representing Great Britain at senior level. Two Australians arrive from the NCAA system: Toby Gillen, a University of Mississippi runner and three-time NCAA 5,000m finalist, and Alex Stitt of Oklahoma State University, who has run 3:35.71 for 1500m.
