The motto of the new padel apparel brand Peachy is “from court to cocktail, smashing both in style and in serve” and is designed to encourage women to find a good balance between performance and play. The founders of the new Swedish brand include artist and padel fan Måns Zelmerlöw and his wife Ciara Zelmerlöw, Johanna Aybar, one of the co-owners of Femme Open, Sweden’s largest padel tournament for women, and business developers and brand strategists Sandra Kvist and Daniel Kvist. The brand aims to fill a previously unfilled market niche with a blend of fashion and function. The first collection launched April 20 in Sweden at Intersport, Stadium and other select retailers and internationally online at www.peachysport.com and includes dresses, skirts, tights, tops and accessories optimized for, but not limited to, padel. Prices for the first collection range from €10 to €70 per style. Peachy is clearly influenced by retro style and draws inspiration from both the California sunshine coast and the French Riviera, known for a certain flamboyance. In the long term and as an extension of the brand, Peachy also plans to invest in creating a padel community. Retail expansion in Europe is also in the planning stages.
